$200/Pair or $100/individual
Capped at 10 teams - 40 ropers, whichever comes first.
Rules - Long go
Each Pair will be randomly assigned another Pair of ropers to create a 4 member team.
4 cattle will be turned out in the arena.
Each Team will have to head, heel and mark each of the four cattle. Only when both back and front feet are in the rope and the animal is stretched can the mark be applied.
All markings must be in the same location for each team.
Cattle can only be roped once during a team's run.
Marker must be returned to the pot after each animal is marked.
Each run is limited to 8 minute time limit.
Time will be called when all animals are up, marker is in the pot and all team members are mounted with ropes and hats (nothing can be left in the arena or on animals).
Each team member will have to rope at least one end (head or heels) of at least one animal to receive a qualified time.
Each Team must attempt at least two “honest” non team roping ranch loops (catching not required). Failure to attempt two ranch loops will result in a 45 second penalty being added to the team's time.
Examples of a non team roping loop include but are not limited to Cross over, Turn over, Houlihand, Del Viento, Hanging hip shot, scoop or backhand.
Galloping or loping before a headshot will result in a 15 second penalty - this is to encourage stockmanship and teamwork.
Fastest Three (3) times make it back to the short go. In the situation of a tie, a rope off (TBD) will occur only between the tied teams.
Rules Short Go
Order of go is the slowest to the fastest time from the long go (Third place to First place), no times are carried forward.
3 cattle will be turned out into the arena.
Each team must doctor (head and Heel) two animals and tie down a third animal.
Two animals being doctored will need to have both heels in rope before the head loop can be removed.
Tied down animals must have three legs tied and remain tied down until time is called.
Cattle can only be roped once.
Time will be called when doctored animals are up, all team members are mounted with all gear and the steer remains tied.
4 minute time limit.
Winner will be the team with the most head down in the fastest amount of time. In case of a tie, prize money will be split evenly between tied teams.
